If your mic is wired for a 4-pin 10-Meter or even a Cobra/Uniden CB there is no need to change the mic plug wiring. All changes will be made in the mic head itself. We show two configurations for preference and space limitations in your mic. You can choose to leave out the AQ or auto squelch control simply by leaving the switch and resistor out. Be careful when drilling out the mic case. Move all wires and remove the mic element if possible once locations are punched for drilling.

Although the mic provided with the Top Gun QUAD-5 is of good quality, and certainly better than most stock mics provided with 10-Meter radios, we understand user’s have their favorite mics for a multitude of reasons. So we’ve provided these modifications to enable you to take advantage of all the features available with your own microphone.
